We’re challenging students to change the Dutch festival scene during a 3-day Hackathon!
an event, typically lasting several days, in which a large number of people meet to engage in collaborative computer programming. “A series of 48-hour hackathons to build new web and mobile services.”
Dozens of hackathons are organized in Amsterdam each month, so what makes this one special? We combine the expertise of a university incubator (ACE), software developers (Info Support) and a digital bank (MoneYou) to challenge the brightest students in and around Amsterdam to come up with innovative ways to pay at festivals – and think of many more effective solutions for common festival pains.
Those ‘annoying’ plastic tokens
Festival season is upon us and we couldn’t be more excited! But do you ever get sick and tired of using those plastic festival tokens? Standing in line to buy new tokens, spending way too much money and then after three days having a bunch of tokens left over? By now, there should be an easier way to pay at festivals, right? That’s why we invite passionate developers, designers and tech savvy business students to join forces at the Future Festival Bootcamp – a three-day event from 13-15 April at Startup Village, an exciting startup community space at Amsterdam Science Park.
We will bring in senior developers and startup specialists to guide you in building a prototype. We will help YOU explore financial services and developing new technologies with cool new API’s that are currently being published by banks, to plug right into the financial core of money flows! Design and build a prototype of your app or cloud solution to change the world (a little bit).
And the best part? The winning team gets a fully arranged weekend to the festival of their choice!
What are you waiting for:
We bank. Hack. Party. Together.
Of course, what would our event be without a 24-hour hackathon, free beer & pizza and much more fun stuff! Keep an eye on the Future Festival Bootcamp website to find out about the challenges, resources and the timetable for the event! Questions? Contact the <ffb/> organization at email@example.com.
